1. Pick up or Delivery
We encourage personal pick up at our nursery in Everett, ON. To help us serve you better and to ensure the availability of your order, please call at least three days prior to your pick-up date to schedule a pick up appointment.
We use Purolator for most deliveries; transit time is 1-2 business day, we can provide a freight quote prior to shipping. We ship to Ontario addresses only. We try to avoid shipping trees on any such date that would result in them sitting in a terminal over the weekend. All shipments are at the buyer's risk; our liabilities cease upon delivery to the carrier. Customers may also use their own carrier.
2. Caring for your Trees
Upon receiving your trees, they should be kept in the opened box in a refrigerated, dark place until the day of the event. The seedlings can be maintained in these conditions for 5-7 days. If there is no access to refrigerated storage then the seedlings can be kept in a cool, dark place (such as a garage or cellar) for 2-3 days.

4. How are trees packaged
Our White Spruce seedlings are packaged in a clear Eco Compostable bag (made from plants) and tied with a decorative Raffia ribbon.
Recommended Planting Instructions
- Select where you want to plant your seedling.
- Plant at least 2 meters from any building.
- Plant in full sunlight or partial shade.
- Using a garden spade or shovel remove any surface vegetation to a depth of 5 cm.
- Loosen the soil in an area of 30 cm x 30 cm and about 20 cm deep.
- Break the soil into a fine condition.
- Make a small hole in the center of the soil.
- Remove the ribbon and plastic bag from the seedling.
- The hole should be deep enough to contain the seedling plug (root ball).
- Hold the seedling in an upright position and with your hand firm the soil around and over the plug and covering the plug with about 1 cm of soil.
- Firm the soil gently around the seedling that you have just planted.
- If available, put 2 cm of mulch over the entire area that you prepared for planting.
- Be prepared to water your seedling at least weekly until it is well established.
